To the ... Dairy Farm?..in Barcelona?

Today I had a field lab for my Operations MGMT class. We went to a dairy farm called "La Fageda" and a brewery called "Moritz".

Once we arrived at the dairy farm, we met our guide... who only spoke Spanish.. hmm.. So our tour guide on the bus did his best to translate. That being said it was tough to learn a lot there, even though we have to write a 6- 8 page paper on it.. yikes! I still don't know what I'm going to write about. I did get to play with cows though.

Also we got to taste test their products and they were quite good! We had Greek yogurt, icecream, and something called "liquid yogurt" which sounded a little sketch, but it was actually really good. Oh and before we sampled we were forced to watch a video about the factory, which would have been helpful if it were translated into English... So we were all just sitting there with blank expressions on our face. From there we went to the brewery, which wasn't actually a brewery, it was a restaurant. It used to be a big factory for making beer, but now it is just a restaurant with a couple of machines left over. When we were done with the tour, our professor bought 6 huge bottles of beer and we got back to the port and all of us were nonchalantly drinking beer in the parking lot. ha. I hate beer, but I had to try it because they make the beer fresh, no preservatives, meaning it goes bad in a week and then they throw it out and start again.

Em
