Someone once told me to "take a hike"...so I did. Luckily it happened to be in Acadia National Park in the fall. Jokes on them. The rugged cliffs, pristine lakes, endless hiking trails, and bright fall leaves make this New England National Park a must visit. I've now been 3x and I can't get enough. Here are some of my favorite hikes.

Beehive Loop Trail

In the words of Miley Cyrus, "It's the climb". She might as well have been talking about the Beehive Loop Trail. This climb.. err hike is 1.5 miles and considered strenuous, but it is my absolute favorite hike in Acadia NP. Full of big views, thrilling metal rungs, and cliff edges that get the heart racing. Love a little adrenaline.

Park in the Sand Beach parking lot. Start the Bowl trail ,which will get you to the start of the beehive.

Ocean Path Trail

This easy 4 mile coastline walk is probably the most popular in Acadia. It is a flat and easy walk with breathtaking ocean views. You can easily walk it in sections and see the major highlights like Thunder Hole, Otter Point, and Sand Beach

The Bubbles Trail

This 1.5 mile out and back trail is considered moderate and leads to Bubble Rock. In the words of Spongebob, "It's not just a boulder, it's a rock!" Wandering through the forest to get to the top is even prettier as the leaves are changing color. Note: It can get steep at some points with steps and slick in the rain. These are my go to hiking boots for slick situations and ankle protection

Jordan Pond Path

This 3.1 mile trail starts right by the Jordan Pond House, which is worth a stop for popovers and a blueberry mojito after your hike! It is an easy, flat walk around the calm waters of Jordan Pond. They have interesting little boardwalks as part of the trail, which I found unique and fun.
